The Canaan Farm offers you a great selection of Canaan Fir trees. We believe this is such a great tree that we have replaced the Balsam Fir with this up and coming strong species. What is a Canaan Fir? It is a natural cross between a Fraser Fir and a Balsam Fir. This tree provides the sturdy branches and longer needle retention of a Fraser Fir and the fragrance of a Balsam Fir. When you look around this farm you might see a tree that looks like a Fraser Fir and then again you might see a tree that looks like a Balsam Fir. That is the beauty of the Canaan Fir. It might lean more one way than the other of which Fir it resembles. So, if you have always been a Balsam Believer or a Fraser Freak you could very well find just what you want on the Canaan Farm.

Complementary Services
Saws
We provide a hand saw for you to cut down your tree. However, you are welcome to bring your own small motorized saw, but we ask that you check in with us first and sign a waiver.
Shaking
We shake your tree to get rid of any loose needles, grass, and debris so it is clean and ready for your home.
Bailing
We gently wrap your tree with twine to keep the branches together for protection and easy handling and transport into your home. For easy setup, first, put the tree in your stand and straighten it, then cut the twine and watch your tree relax and slowly open.
Drilling
Drilling is only for the “Answer Stand” which we have on hand. The drill puts a tapered hole in the butt of your tree to fit onto the tapered pin in the “Answer Stand.”
Warm up with hot cider
Come Inside
On both farms, we serve complimentary hot apple cider in our warming sheds. You will also find hand-crafted ornaments, wreaths, and roping for sale.
